Under the directions of SGVHV Golf Lead Team which consist of Mr Sherman, Mr Keeler and Ms Timmons the Event which had

Twelve teams of golfers teed off Friday morning, November 1, 2019 in honor of veterans in the Star Group Veterans Helping Veterans annual golf tournament at the Hills of Cove Golf Course. It started out as a chilly wet day and the tournament start was delayed approximately 30mins but overall the weather changed and it was a beautiful day.

Everyone was excited about the nice trophies and the fact that each winning team member would receive a trophy. But they were also equally as excited to help with the fundraiser after Mr Haywood explained the proceeds from the tournament help fund our annual 425 Thanksgiving baskets giveaway.

The SG-VHV Volunteers arrived hours before the tournament to begin setting up and registration. As golfers arrived they were welcomed registered and the sponsors shook their hands, while volunteers gave them their registration gift & score cards and assigned their golfing carts.

A lot of hard work goes into this tournament but it's all worth it, the Sponsors, Golfers & Volunteers are the highlight of the event.

Thanks to all the SG-VHV Members who volunteers for assisting & making this fundraiser a great success; Mr Haywood, Mr Robertson, Mr Davis, Mr Hill, Mr Mitchell, Mr Puckett, Mr Jackson, Mr Sherman, Mr Price, Mr Keeler, Ms Timmons, Ms Powell, Ms Brown, Ms Griffin and other SGVHV Members whom came by to help but did not sign in.

We also had several SGVHV Members who participated in the Tournament either by putting in their own Team or being part of the SGVHV Team. We thank each of them for their participation.

Again All American Chevrolet Killeen TX with the help of Ms Sade Taveras-Garay stepped up and donated the 2020 Truck for the Hole-In-One prize.  The golfers said that even though they didn't win the truck they had fun trying and they look forward to coming back next year as they support the efforts of Star Group Veterans Helping Veterans.

This Year Star Group Veterans Helping Veterans was fortunate to have two Hole-In-One prizes. A bright red Golf Cart was donated by Fairway Sport Vehicles in Salado TX. No one won the golf cart but many took pictures sitting in it!

Thank you to the Hole-In-Sponsors, Premier Corp Sponsors, Hole & Tee Sponsors.

Special Thanks to All American Chevrolet as they again stepped up and donated the 2020 Chevrolet Silverado Truck for the Hole-In-One prize.
